About Us

P'kolino (pee-ko-lee-no) was founded to improve play at home by two dads with a passion for creating great products. With the help of friends, family and a global network of designers, P’kolino has created play products that are beloved worldwide for their playful style and smart functionality.

This innovative line of toys, play furnishings, art supplies, décor and more offer children of all ages playfully smart solutions to improving play at home. With many more new products and expansion into new markets we are looking forward to a day when everyone will know what it means to have a playfully smart P’kolino home.

P'kolino was founded in 2004 and is currently located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Our Story

Our story is about passion for better products and how they can change one’s life and that of those around us. P'kolino founders, J.B. Schneider and Antonio Turco-Rivas, started with a clear goal: to "make better products to improve play at home". This mutual goal was realized during their MBA studies at Babson College (the leading entrepreneurial school in the country).

There they began an intensive research and development project with 20+ international design students from the Rhode Island School of Design. From this collaboration came the P’kolino Play Table, and with the help of “those around them”, family and friends, they created P’kolino and this award winning, globally recognized, Play Table. You can see a short video about the product development process with Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and Babson College Graduate School of Business that created the P'kolino Play Table and started our business.

With the continued collaboration of an international network of designers and some “homegrown” talent, P’kolino has expanded to offer playfully smart products that are enjoyed by children and families worldwide. Through the insight and passion of our founders and designers P’kolino has developed a playfully smart design philosophy. “Playful” means designing products that have a fun and engaging style that children are drawn to but that parents can also appreciate for their aesthetic value. “Smart” means designing products that have superior functionality to safely support children’s developmental needs and extend the life of the product through multiple uses. Everything we do aims towards brining this design philosophy to our customers home.

P’kolino is constantly creating new products; we believe all aspects of life can use a little smart playfulness and with a lot of passion and the continued support of our now extended family and friends we intend to show it.
