Our efforts to be resource conscious and sustainable are part of our Playfully Smart design philosophy. Our Multi-functionality and durability means that products are going to be around longer. For example, traditional Toddler Beds have a very short life-cycle. Considering that, we designed a Toddler Bed that converts to a chair when the child out-grows it; that way it can be around longer.
Additionally, our products are designed to efficiently use materials and minimize waste. We use abundant (non-exotic) and managed wood resources. We use low emissions engineered woods for their consistency and efficient use of wood resources.
Our products are made in several countries; U.S., Canada, China, Taiwan and India. We have personally visited these factories to see the working conditions, and in the case of China and India have had them reviewed by independent agencies for fair labor practices and working conditions.
The paints and finishes we use are non-toxic and each production batch is independently tested by a 3rd party to certify this.
In September 2009 we are happy to introduce a line of toddler bedding the is 100% certified Organic cotton with recycled filler, natural dyes and fair labor certification.
